Update 4/2/26

Tucker has still had minor issues with his left eye but the threat of death is far gone. His eye is watery most days but I apply drops when he lets me and it helps some. It's also been over a month now that Tucker had gone back to the vet for lethargy though, his CBC showed partial signs of FIP, which we know now is a threat here in the house, even though he has been isolated in a room where other cats don't have it. It could be that he had it mutating in him since he was outside but we can never know.

We only have a little over $100 remaining for Tucker with all he had gone through. We will need more FIP meds in the future and then another prep blood test to ensure he has rid the virus and can go into observation. And of course get him vaccinated and neutered. If you would like to donate towards his future that would be amazing. His life is so young and he still needs to find his forever family.

Update 10/17/25

Tuck has been hospitalized at Sunset pet Hospital today. I have talked to the doctor twice since then. Treatment plan was to sedate and insert a feeding tube since he is not interested in eating at all. Kittens decline rapidly if they don't eat or drink, Tucker is only 4 weeks old so this was a prominent reason why he needed to see a vet ASAP.

The doctor let me know his X-rays were clear of pneumonia, but they were sent out to confirm, and the feeding tube was inserted without a hitch and even got a bigger one in than she had hoped for. This can stay there for up to a month (although we may not need it there that long), he is also getting fluids via IV and he is alert and relaxing. It is expected that he will feel much better after he gets food in him. We expect to return home with him tomorrow.

While sedated the doctor was able to see his closed eye a little, there is so much of his conjunctiva swelling that there wasn't a clear look but she did confirm that it does look problematic, the eyedrops we received from his initial vet visit will be used for this situation until we can have a better look at his eye. Topical medicine is what is recommended here.

Thank you to everyone who is donating and helping Tucker during this serious time, no animal deserves this, he is only 1 month old and this is often the ending for a lot of stray kittens. He found his way to us and to you. So thank you for caring so deeply, as I do.

This baby was posted on a next door post, he was found at a warehouse and needs vet attention ASAP.

I can only take this baby with some funds, first he needs to be tested for FeLV, FIV, HW and Parvo. Aside from that he has an eye infection that will need antibiotics as long as it isn't too late for his eye. Any donations are appreciated. After quarantine he will be added into our rescue kitten room were 11 other young ones reside. Please consider helping us, this matter is urgent.
