Last year our community came together to save her when this beautiful filly suffered terrible trauma at birth.
She was literally a miracle to have survived the surgeries and she not only survived but she thrived. She had two major surgeries and two additional life saving procedures at Ontario Vet College.
We named her Kitty for having 9 lives.
Kitty had been doing remarkable well until today. Today started off just fine but by 8:30 am , things went horribly wrong. She was outside enjoying turnout and I found her down on the ice and she was going into shock. I called the vet immediately and was advised she should go to Guelph (OVC) for assessment and treatment. She was too weak and injured to stand and it took a team of people to literally lift her into the trailer.
They are currently trying to stabilize her.
Bloodwork, X-rays, ultrasounds all being done. She’s very weak and once they’ve stabilized her, she is going in for surgery.
I’ve always been the one to help others ...and it’s not easy to ask for help but I can’t accept that her life would end because of $$$$
In January my business suffered a terrible electrical fire and we lost everything.
It pains me to ask for help but I have to swallow my pride and try to save this sweet Filly. She’s been so loving, well behaved and smart. She wants to live. She is a fighter. Please help her. Any amount helps.
This is about her life.
Her prognosis is good. She just needs the expert medical care that Ontario Vet College’s Large Animal Hopsital can
