HELP SAVE THEIR RV DUE TO CANCER TREATMENT BILLS
Donation protected
Howdy friends, family, and fellow RVs. My name is Jim Vititow, many of you know me through the RVing industry, camping community, and as the Director of Operations for United RV here in Fort Worth.
I spend so much time each week giving back to the RVing community that I have been a member of for 30+ years. This time it is something completely new to me. We have a member (Richard Hernandez), who is battling cancer for the second time, and they are now forced to sell their beautiful RV to pay bills and keep their head above water.
Richard fought and beat Thyroid cancer in 2012, which left him uninsurable due to the outstanding monthly premiums wanted by private insurers. Now in 2023 he has colon cancer and they are struggling once again. They have a separate GoFundMe which many of you have donated to help them pay for his treatments.
After a fellow NTCRV member saw where they were fixing to have to sell their RV, and he messaged me about starting a Go Fund Me to see if we can collectively save their RV. Once Richard is finished with this battle we would all still like to see them around the campground, and I know it is devastating to them both that they are having to sell their RV. Richard and Kerry both are VERY active members of the camping community, they attend most all events, and they could certainly use their RV to help with his recovery.
Collectively we should easily be able to reach this goal if all of our members donated a few dollars, but we know that not all members are active and may not even see this. We have pulled together in the past and helped our members in need, and we could use everyone's help here as well. Having to battle cancer without insurance is incomprehensible to me, and I would hate to see them lose their RV because of this battle.
Let's band together and kick in what we can, and help pay off their RV so that they can continue to camp and use it to recover once the treatments are done. Thank you for your consideration with this very serious matter.
