Help Save The White Lilac
Today, something heartbreaking happened.
The exterior wall of The White Lilac — our little listening room in the heart of downtown Kenosha — collapsed. While we are grateful no one was hurt, the building is now unsafe, and we’re forced to cancel all future shows for the time being. Our top priority is making the space safe again, but we can’t do it alone.
We’re asking for your help.
About The White Lilac
Since opening, The White Lilac has become one of Southeast Wisconsin's most intimate and respected performance venues. With just 50 seats and a whole lot of heart, we’ve welcomed extraordinary artists from all over the world — from Grammy nominees to underground legends — all in a space built for listening, connection, and discovery.
It’s been called “a room that listens,” and that’s exactly what we’ve strived to be: a home for bold music, original voices, and meaningful moments.
But right now, we’re facing a challenge we never expected.
Why We Need Your Help
The building is in urgent need of repair. Extensive work is required before we can reopen our doors. Insurance may cover part of the damage, but not enough to get us fully back on our feet — and we still need to cover refunds, cancelled artist fees, lost revenue, and ongoing operational costs.
We’ve poured our souls into this place. And if you’ve ever been to a show here, you know what makes it special: not just the artists, but the community.
How You Can Help
Please consider donating whatever you can. Every dollar gets us one step closer to safely reopening and continuing our mission to bring transformative, live arts to Kenosha.
And if you can’t give right now, please share this campaign with others who believe in the power of small venues and big dreams.
With gratitude and hope,
