Hello everyone, my name is Michelle Van Patten.

Our family house has sprung a leak. My parents both passed away last year within 9 days of each other unexpectedly, and we have been trying to maintain the house and the bills because the estate ran out of money. But with the roof leaking, we are finding ourselves in a bind. I claimed it on the insurance, but we can't pay the deductible of $5000. I am unable to take a loan because I am waiting until probate is done so I can try and get a mortgage. The whole thing is a mess, and I feel helpless. If I pay the deductible, then the mortgage and bills won't get paid.

Please help our family in saving the house that my parents have been in since 1990. I can't see losing this house, and so we really need your help. Anything is appreciated.
