Help save the unlucky Lurcher ❤️

I saw this young Lurcher get hit by a car this evening, his owner wouldn’t take him to the vet and said I could have him to get him veterinary treatment.
The RSPCA refused to help as I had taken the dog to the vet- what they say I should have done was wait at the roadside with the dog and call them to let them decide if he should get vet treatment or if they would collect him- the whole time the dog is suffering with a clearly broken leg.
The dog warden and local council also washed their hands of him.
The vets have done as much as they can to asses him and keep him pain free. 
He has a severe, but clean, break in his lower right hind leg which needs surgery and he needs some more investigation work to ensure there are no fractures elsewhere in the hind end.
Any money left over after treatment or if the most humane thing is to put this gorgeous boy to sleep we will donate to a dog charity- maybe even the Lurchers SOS.
From  X-rays showing the growth plates not formed yet the vets estimate this dog to be approximately 10 months old and he is so kind even in so much pain, he absolutely deserves a chance to have a great home full of love.
