My name is Dennis Annicelli and I am the basketball coach at SAND School in Hartford CT.
Due to budgetary constraints throughout the district of Hartford, the funding for our basketball program has been completely eliminated. Without any outside fundraising from the community or other donors, we will be unable to continue this program for the students at SAND school. SAND school is a neighborhood school located on Main Street in the North End of Hartford. The students in our school are some of the best kids in the world; unfortunately they live in a community which provides very few healthy outlets for them. Keeping this basketball program is about more than just sports, it is about giving these kids an opportunity to be a part of a positive outlet.
