Help us bring home old gomshall 1973 fire engine

We are raising money in aid of FIRE BRIGADES OF SURREY PRESERVATION TRUST to bring home the last remaining 1973 Ford D series fire engine of Gomshall fire station. To continue the hard work to restore her to her former glory... every donation will help us transport her home to Surrey and start the job of making her part of the history of surrey once again not only reuniting her with her past crews but education the children of today of our surrey fire service heritage through the years ....We thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.

MPH199L was built in 1973 and fitted out as a fire appliance by HCB ANGUS, she was number 18 of 18 ordered by SFB (surrey fire brigade) and served out of Gomshall fire station, after her service with SFB she found herself with the Marconi works fire brigade for many years. Eventualy she was parked in a Lincolnshire farm awaiting her fate whatever it may be, After 9 years in 2020 she was saved and the task to restore her was started , The fire service  museum have now taken on that task and its time to bring her back to surrey and join the collection of preserved appliances within the Surrey fire brigade museum

The money raised will help us with the transportation costs from Lincolnshire and the initial commissioning of MPH199L before restoration
