Help Save the Kripa Teachers!

You probably know one of us because we have children who may be in your child’s class. Chirag & Prerna are parents to Shyna and Saurin & Swastika Patel are parents to Shaan from Kripa Montessori located in Bartlett.

All of our children have started and stayed with Kripa Montessori (located in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates and Bartlett, IL) from infancy . We hope that when they get the chance to reopen , the teachers who lay the backbone of the school and lovingly raise our children year-round while we are at work will still be there to care for our young ones to build their foundation for the rest of their lives. As of March 27th, all forty employees of Kripa, including administration and staff, were placed on furlough. Due to the sudden unexpected economic crisis, the staff is in need, especially due to the several week delay before unemployment benefits are provided by the state. There are some Kripa staff members who due to a variety of reasons will not be able to receive any assistance from the state. In these troubled times, we can only move forward by ensuring that Kripa community is protected and cared for and ready to come back at full strength when safety allows. 

We know that with the uncertainty of the situation, this time may be difficult for your family. Please know that we understand, and we’ve spoken with and continue to remain in constant contact with the teachers who tell us they are eager to come back and see your little ones. 

During this period, Prerna & Chirag Vaswani, Saurin & Swastika Patel and Miss Swati Saurabh who you probably have seen in the office and around Kripa , have come together to help spearhead this fundraiser.

Together, we are asking that your family, with the cut back in tuition for the month of April, consider donating to this GFM account so that we may distribute it to our teachers that we appreciate so much for their hard work they’ve done with all of our children. We want our teachers who care for the kids to be able to get by, helping pay for their groceries, rent, and/or other bills.

We’ve spoken with the owners of Kripa Montessori and they were very supportive and grateful of us doing this.  This fund will not go towards the school expenses ; every donation will go to the teachers in need, being fairly distributed. In fact, members of Kripa Management have pledged to match donations up to $2,000.00




Note : The funds will be managed by the parent volunteers . Whatever we receive, after the fees that GFM takes for its payment processor, we plan to get the donations to the teachers by having Ms. Swati Saurabh/ Kripa Administrative Assistant, distribute it fairly via Venmo. If a staff member does not have or use Venmo, a physical check will be issued to him/her. Each staff member will receive support unless they volunteer to forgo the assistance to provide more aid to those in the most need.
