Help save the family home from the Bank
Donation protected
I am Samuel Isabel, and the banks have been trying to foreclose on my grandmother's home since she passed away in late 2023. My uncles have been trying to fight it for 2 years and trying to pay off debt that appears to be trumped-up late fees that the bank will not elaborate on. As of 25 March 2025, they are going to take them to court on 14 April 2025 to begin proceedings to fully foreclose on the home. My grandmother June and grandfather Edwin "Papa Ed" had the house built in 1970 to house their family of 6 kids. After my grandfather passed away due to complications with Polycystic Kidney Disease in 1996, my grandmother had it written into her will that as long as any of her descendants were under the age of 18, no one could sell the house to ensure they always had a roof over their heads, a bed to sleep in, and food to eat.
It is currently housing 3 of their 5 sons (Edwin Jr, Joseph, and Len), 1 of their 3 grandsons (Jory), and 2 of their 5 great-grandchildren (Michael, 16, and Natalie, 12).
Two of the three sons are disabled due to chronic kidney disease (Joseph and Len). The grandson Jory is a single father trying to take care of his kids, whose mother passed away in 2021.
We need help to pay off the owed amount and the legal fees that will be incurred. I hope this message gets to as many people as possible so that we can keep the home in the family for as long as we can, ensuring that no one in the family will ever have to wonder if there will be a roof over their heads or someplace to live.
Current amount due is at least $150,000 but legal costs are going to be expensive and we have no idea how long it will take to settle this.
