Want to help us continue to feed our community during the pandemic, heal the land and ourselves? We are raising money to continue operations of the backyard garden we started at the beginning of Covid-19 as a group of surfers growing food for our local food bank. Now, a registered 501c3, Sea + Soil has donated over 1600 lbs of organically grown produce to 120 families in North County, San Diego since April 2021! And this is just the beginning.
With an average of 15-20 volunteers each week, this tiny farm hosts weekly workshops to educate future farmers in regenerative, organic practices, create safe space for climate grief, and invites our community to partake in hands-on solutions to some of our biggest environmental issues - all while cultivating food for donation to local families in need. We are 100% volunteer run and would like to create 2 paid positions for young farmers, as well as purchase much needed supplies like seeds, compost, tools and building materials for a shade structure, wash station, and greenhouse. Any donation will greatly help us continue doing this important work reconnecting and regenerating ecosystems and community.
We are running out of funds to keep this farm in production and we really need your help! Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that helps regenerate soil, protect our oceans from harmful pesticides and chemicals, and heal our community through broadening access to nature and food!
