This is Janice. Less than a month ago, Janice went into premature emergency labor and spent multiple long days in the hospital. She lost her child, and returned home heartbroken. Just days later, she was tragically killed in the local market.
My name is Tyler. Two years ago, I served a mission in the Philippines. I lived for two years with the Filipino people in the province of Albay, and I was touched by the hospitality and kindness of those I came into contact with. One family that I grew close to, The Arevalo Family, has been through an incredibly difficult experience over the last month. Their Aunt Janice went into emergency labor, and her child didn't survive. Just days after leaving the hospital both broken hearted and empty handed, she was shot in the market in Daraga, Albay along with two others while attending a business meeting. Words cannot express the struggle that this family has gone through. Medical bills and court hearings have left them with a debt that they are unable to pay, and the father of the house faces being sent to prison if he cannot pay the debt by December. The Arevalo family has exhausted every resource back home, and they desperately need our help. A small donation here translates to a rather large one in the Philippines, which is why even the smallest of donation would be such a blessing to them.
