Hi everyone,
This is T’Challa, my sweet, gentle boy. He was born on July 9, 2021, and at just 4½ years old, he’s already my little constant — playful, cuddly, and always full of love.
Right now, T’Challa is very sick. He hasn’t been able to pee for three days. His bladder is dangerously swollen to the size of a softball, his private area is inflamed and bleeding, and he is clearly in pain. Watching him struggle has been absolutely heartbreaking.
I brought him to the vet with the very last of my money. They did everything they could in that moment — giving him pain medication to help relax his sphincters and prescribing amitriptyline to try to get him to urinate on his own. Unfortunately, they warned me that if he still cannot pee, his condition is life-threatening and he will need emergency surgery to survive.
The estimated cost for hospitalization and surgery is between $3,000 and $5,000, and payment is required up front. I simply don’t have access to that kind of money. I’ve been living paycheck to paycheck, recently had a baby, and while I was doing much better before COVID, right now I’m just managing rent, bills, and basic necessities — barely enough for food.
What hurts the most is seeing how much he’s changed. T’Challa was always happy and affectionate. Now he’s quiet, withdrawn, and in obvious pain. He keeps trying to use the litter box, nothing happens, and eventually he slowly gives up and lies down on the floor. He won’t even eat — not even his favorite treats.
I’m asking, from the bottom of my heart, for help. Anything at all — donations, shares, kind words — truly means everything. I just want the chance to see my sweet boy healthy, comfortable, and happy again.
Thank you so much for reading, for caring, and for helping us during the hardest moment.
Please help save T’Challa.
