Hi! We are the children of Tatay Remy, the most wonderful father, husband, uncle, and community member ever.

Tatay Remy is 77 years old but he has always been a picture of health. He does not let his advanced age stop him from living an active and physical life. We, his children and family, know him as our provider and a man who can get things done. As a former police officer, Tatay Remy extends protection beyond his family but to his community too and has helped a lot of people.

Tatay Remy has never been sick and has no maintenance medicine for any illness. But two years ago, an aneurysm was found in his stomach. At 4cm in size, the doctor advised us to do lifestyle changes so we can manage it without surgery. We have been religiously monitoring the aneurysm with our Dad undergoing CT scans, complete blood count tests, X-rays, and others to ensure that we are on top it. For months, the aneurysm was manageable.

A devastating blow came a week ago when the latest tests showed that the aneurysm has grown into 6cm, shoving us into an extremely precarious situation. At this size, it is very likely to rupture and cause death. Tatay needs to undergo surgery to address the issue and it needs to be done as soon as possible.

Our Tatay is our rock, our source of strength. We appeal to you to help us help him win this battle and live a longer life with his family, friends, and loved ones. The quoted expense for the surgery is USD 25,000 and even our combined assets, credit lines, and savings will not be enough to cover it. Our Tatay is a fighter and the doctor has already cleared him for the operation but we need to have funds so it can be done.
