A very sweet cat was abandoned and neglected by a neighbor and needs help, and we are desperate to facilitate this. The weather and predators have been beating him up, and he needs help urgently.

We've been feeding and creating outdoor shelters for him, but he's now battling mange, injuries, and safety issues. With your help, we will get him treated, neutered, and placed in a forever home. To do this, we have the following plan and costs:

Vet exam (New client special $29)

Treatment for mange, fleas, ear mites, & open wounds ($100)

Fecal test for parasites ($46)

Test for FIV/FeLV ($40.50)

Vaccinations ($83)

Microchip ($25)

Pre-op bloodwork for neuter (Range $150-286 dependent on type of blood panel needed)

Neuter surgery $185 (includes anesthesia, surgery, cone, pain relief)

We desperately want to get this sweet boy indoors before the worst happens. We've been calling him Bootsie. We don't know how old he is, but by his appearance, he looks older than your typical street cat and has many scars that tell a story of close calls. We desperately hope anyone can help us get him safe and healthy so he can enjoy his older years in safety, love, and comfort.

The ultimate goal is to integrate him into our multi-cat household or network with rescues to place him with a trusted forever home so he won't ever have to contend with predators and other dangers again. He deserves this; he is so loving, sweet, and really good with people.

UPDATE: We found a vet that works with community cats and is economical. We will keep everyone posted but we should be able to get everything done, including his neuter for about $500 so we reduced our goal. More to come. Thank you!
