For over a decade, I had the privilege of working alongside Joker Gaming to help build and run Swamp Cinema, a truly unique and one-of-a-kind gaming community within Garry's Mod. Joker poured his heart into creating a space where people from all walks of life could come together, share laughs, bully each other in good fun, and make memories. I was part of staff for a long time, and have always helped however I could to help him realize his vision. I always admired his dedication to keeping the community fun, welcoming, and true to its roots.

After Joker's passing, I approached his parents about purchasing Swamp Cinema. They want to see the community continue, and I want to honor Joker's vision by keeping things as they are—no major changes, no over-monetization, just gradual improvements and new content over time. I started helping his parents look for a buyer, but given the niche nature of Swamp Cinema, there wasn't much interest from outsiders. That's when I realized the best way to keep the community intact was to turn to the people who care about it most: all of you.

This fundraiser is dedicated to raising as much as possible to pay Joker's parents a fair price for Swamp Cinema, reflecting the true value of what he built. All proceeds will go directly to his parents. I will handle the transfer of funds transparently and keep everyone updated throughout the process. Thank you for helping us keep Swamp Cinema in the hands of the community and honoring Joker's memory.

Once the dust has settled, the structure of Swamp Cinema as a business will be transparent as far as funds coming in and what it is spent on. There is some consideration being given to dissolving the current LLC and reincorporating as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The desire is not to profit from the community, and put all funds towards the server and the community.

To that end, I have logged an offline donation on this campaign to reflect what I myself am willing and able to put towards this goal. The low end of the amount I would like to see them get is 40k-50k. I do not realistically expect to get that amount from this effort. But every dollar helps, and goes 100% to his parents at the end of the campaign.
