Help Save - Supporting Ukrainian Paramedics

We are fundraising to provide Ukrainian EMTs in Lviv with everything from dressings to basic medical equipment. We are cooperating closely with the Maryan Havryliv Group (Maryan is a licensed paramedic instructor), which trains civilians, clergymen, municipal workers, and volunteers in wartime first aid.


After a brief but intense drill, these people are ready to save lives, often accompanying evacuation transports from the ravaged areas as medical personnel. The evacuations can be particularly treacherous, with people falling into bomb craters, breaking arms and legs, hurting themselves on dangerously protruding construction elements from destroyed structures.


The situation in Ukraine deteriorates daily, as more and more men are deployed to the frontlines, while the number of civilians injured in bombings and shelling skyrockets. 

We are collecting dressings and other medical equipment, as well as first aid kits, flashlights, and tactical backpacks - whatever is most needed to help save lives. As of right now, it is virtually impossible to procure such things in Ukraine, and exceedingly difficult in Poland. We have been tapping into a vast network of international connections to access appropriate articles. Unfortunately, the financial costs are growing rapidly.

Additionally, we would like to provide the Havryliv Group with a car, preferably an SUV or a van, which would facilitate the transportation of the wounded and surplus humanitarian aid, and help instructors reach otherwise unaccessible training sites. We're looking for a vehicle with automatic transmission and a petrol engine, nothing too old, as there is no time or funds for servicing. 

WHO WE ARE:


We are a group of unpaid volunteers from Łódź, Poland, who evacuate and assist war refugees from Ukraine. Our team of about 900 is comprised of the alumni and scouting troops of the Copernicus High School in Łódź, as well as other Polish and international volunteers, including several from the United States.

Copernicus High is one of Poland's most prestigious public high schools. Its popular nickname is Koper. Koper helped us launch incredible careers and take the world head-on. Koper raised us in the spirit of intellectual curiosity, creativity, and leadership, especially when it comes to helping others.
We share precious memories of teen mischief, vacations spent together, first loves, wildly irresponsible pranks, etc. - but also by the magic of the over one hundred years old building that still serves the school.
We stay in touch, help others and each other, and keep this community alive and active.
