Help save Sugar's eyes
Donation protected
Meet Sugar. She is a two-year-old Shepard mix dropped off at the Riverside shelter. She was rescued hours before she was scheduled to be euthanized by Alex, who owns Healing Hounds Rescue. I volunteered to foster Sugar.
When Sugar arrived, she could barely see out of one eye, and the other one was closed. I brought her to the vet the next morning and was told she needed surgery or she could lose both eyes. She has a medical condition called Entropion, in which the eyelids roll inward, causing the eyelashes to rub against the dog's sensitive cornea.
In Sugar's case, both the upper and lower eyelids were growing into her eye. This condition is very painful. Sugar had the first surgery in which her eyes were stitched open. She is doing very well but now needs another surgery to cut her eyelids which have grown too large.
I am speaking on Sugar's behalf to save her eyes. Would you please consider a $20 donation to the Healing Hounds Rescue. Your donations are 100% tax-deductible and can save Sugars eyes. You can help in two ways. First, by making a donation of any amount, and second, by sharing this with all of your friends - and asking them to share.
Thank you so much for helping Sugar.
