Hi Fellow Animal Lovers,

We are Karina and Luke, volunteers at Moalboal Animal Rescue Shelter in Cebu, Philippines.

This small but dedicated shelter provides a lifeline to 70 rescued dogs and 20 cats, offering them food, medical care, and a safe place to heal. However, with zero government support, the shelter relies entirely on donations from tourists and volunteers like us.

Why Your Help Is Urgently Needed

During the peak season (January–May), occasional donations from tourist help sustain the shelter. But during the rainy season, when tourists stop visiting, the shelter struggles to provide even basic necessities. Without a steady stream of support, Ala & Lyndon, the couple who run the shelter while raising three children, face heartbreaking choices—they often go without just to ensure the animals are fed.

Moalboal Animal Shelter is the only animal shelter in South Cebu, making it challenging for the owners to rescue more animals in need.

With your help, we can provide:

Nutritious food and clean water to prevent malnutrition

Safe shelter from the scorching heat and heavy rains

Neutering & vaccinations to control the stray population and prevent disease

Medical care for injured, sick, and abused animals

Your donation directly supports these animals, ensuring they receive love, care, and a chance at a better life.

We will run this fundraiser for 10 days with a goal of raising 25,000 Pesos (approximately £350).

Even the smallest contribution can mean a full belly for a hungry dog or life-saving medicine for a sick cat.
