Help Save Stitch and Thea's Life
Donation protected
Hello all.
As pet lovers, we all know the hardships that come with the cost of caring for such beautiful companions. It's difficult seeing your pet, or furbaby, be in pain, and you do everything you can to make sure they live a happy, healthy, and comfortable life. I am creating this fundraiser to help a long-time family friend, Jen Rose, who was given the worst news any pet owner can receive. Within two weeks, both of her beautiful bullies were diagnosed with life-threatening diseases, to which both would need surgery to save them. As someone who has played a massive part in fostering and rescuing, especially the bully breeds, Jen dedicates her life to saving and advocating for an often misunderstood breed. She has taken in countless stray, homeless, and sick animals and nursed them back to health until they eventually found their forever homes. Her two rescue babies, Thea and Stitch, mean the world to her family and would devastate them if the two were lost.
The story of Thea.
Thea was born in 2016 and was rescued after being used for breeding purposes. At the time, it was suspected she was used for two litters before her second birthday. While all her puppies found homes, Thea was kept at Almost Home Animal Shelter in Pennsauken, NJ. Jen picked up Thea to take her to a rescue event and potentially get her adopted. However, after taking her to multiple adoption events and an attempted escape from the shelter, Jen decided to foster Thea for six months and eventually was adopted by her family.
Thea is the definition of the nanny dog. She bonded with baby Brian amazingly, and the two have become inseparable. Brian is only 4, and Thea is only 6.
Recently, Thea started to show signs of muscular pain. Unfortunately, what began as a pulled muscle diagnosis has turned into Osteosarcoma, a cancerous tumor that grows directly on the bone. The first step to help prevent the spread is to have her leg amputated. The leg amputation is scheduled for March 22nd, and is estimated to cost $2200.
Once Thea's surgery is complete, she will be placed on Chemotherapy as preventative care.

The story of Stitch.
Named after the lovable blue alien, Stitch was born in December 2014. Diagnosed with severe juvenile arthritis at only eight months old, his entire life, he has received medication(s), daily supplements, and monthly injections to help keep him free of pain. Stitch also regularly attends underwater treadmill therapy, which helps keep his body weightless.
Recently, he was diagnosed with bulging discs and pinched nerves on his C5 and C6 vertebrae. The surgery he would need to survive is an estimated $10,000, including a $3,000 MRI. Without this surgery, the fear of the discs rupturing is a considerable risk, and he will be left paralyzed. To help relieve some pain, he will be starting cold laser therapy on March 7th until surgery can be afforded.
With your donations, not only will you be helping support these sweet, beautiful animals to live a happy and comfortable life, but most importantly, a family will not have to mourn.
Please consider donating or sharing this GoFundMe to help spread the word about Thea and Stitch.
