Hi! My name is Julia, and I am fundraising for my dear friend Charles Franklin Diltz, also known as the entertainer Stevie Reese Desmond. Stevie has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. The only cure for this disease is an organ transplant. Usually Alpha 1 affects the liver or the lungs, but both of his parents were genetic carriers and because of that, he will need a lung and liver transplant.

He was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung and liver disease in 2017 caused from Alpha 1.

Prior to his diagnosis, Stevie had moved home to care for his mother full time because the younger brother passed away in 2014 from a diabetic coma. He was taking care of his Mom around the clock for 6 years, until September 17th, 2020, when she had to be taken off of life support after a failed aneurysm surgery. Because of his disability and financial situation, he will be forced to walk away from a reverse mortgage on the family home, which is due in three months. This will leave my friend homeless.

Stevie has been dedicated to his family and took care of his mother through his own illness. The passing of his mother was his last immediate family member and now he needs some care. Please, even a small donation would help. If we all give a little it will help a lot!
