I never imagined I’d ever have to write something like this.

My sister, Stella, has always been the strong one in our family. What began as what we thought was a small, treatable tumor has taken a devastating turn. The doctors have now confirmed that Stella needs at least 10 rounds of chemotherapy, 4 before surgery and 6 more afterwards, to give her the fighting chance she deserves.

In the past few weeks, she has endured multiple emergency blood transfusions, needing between 4 to 6 pints each time just to keep her stable. Watching her health change so drastically in a matter of days has been heartbreaking for all of us.

As a family, we’ve pulled together every bit of strength and resources to get her this far, but the cost of treatment is overwhelming and time is running out.

If the treatment is delayed any further, there is a serious risk the cancer could spread. We are desperate to make sure Stella gets what she needs, but we can’t do it alone.
