Hi everyone. I’ve just been speaking to a friend of mine who’s grandmother is really involved in the church (St teilo’s)
Not being a church goer myself, I was naive to the amount it cost to keep the church running (Especially during this difficult time). The church is normally kept going by weekly collections, fund raising, christenings etc. But as the church is temporarily closed, they have no means of funds.
It roughly costs St Teilo’s £750 a month to run. They currently have enough funding until the end of June - but after that, NOTHING.
Like I’ve previously said, I’m not a church goer myself. But for some in the village it’s a place that they couldn’t do without.
I know we always pull together as a village and I was wondering if we could do something to help.
If anyone has any ideas, or would like to donate anything to help keep the church going, i know it would be gratefully received.
The church haven’t asked for help as they have been trying to deal with this themselves. But I’m sure if we all pulled together we could help on some small way.
