Help save Soren

Hello, my name is Rachel, and I’m trying to raise funds to save Soren’s life. 4 weeks ago, a mysterious lump came up on Soren’s face which led to a series of events that have now put him in a life threatening condition.

4 weeks ago Soren developed a large lump on the side of his face, which his vet didn’t think much about, and put him on antibiotics. Over the course of the next two weeks we had handfuls of vet appointments, as his lump grew, burst and his skin became necrotic and started to fall off.

It was then assumed that he had a nasty flesh eating bacteria, so all of the infected tissue was cut off, and we were once again given more antibiotics.

Following this surgery, a few days later the same lump appeared on the other side of his face. This was when his new team at our animal hospital stepped in to try and figure out what was going on. A flesh eating bacteria, cancer, and any other kind of bacteria was ruled out, as new lumps appeared and left open wounds on both sides of his beautiful face.

Our vets, who are now consulting both interstate and internationally are working day and night to figure out what is happening to Soren, and are trying desperately to save his life.

Most recently, he has developed more of these lumps on his neck, back, and under his arm. He is now staying at the animal hospital while his team work tirelessly to help him. As you can imagine though, this has come at a great financial cost, and managing his health the last month has now cost us upwards of $20,000.

To give Soren his best fighting chance, he is still needing more tests, scans, consults and treatment.

throughout this rocky time, despite his conditioning being extremely serious, he has kept his happy, bright attitude, and we want to put everything into saving our beautiful boy.
