Socks is a fun, energetic cat who fills our home with joy. He loves playing with his siblings, cuddling on our laps, and going wild for catnip toys and any seafood-flavored treats. Lately, though, Socks has become lethargic, stopped eating and drinking, and is in visible pain—meowing, hissing, and unable to use the bathroom. It’s heartbreaking to see such a lively spirit struggle so much.

We’re on our way to the vet right now, deeply worried about what’s ahead. Our biggest fear is losing Socks, and we want to do everything possible to give him a fighting chance. The costs for emergency exams, tests, medications, and possible hospitalization are overwhelming, but we’re determined to get him the care he needs.

update: vet said he has a bladder blockage and he would have to be sedated and hospitalized to drain it and it could happen again. Was told the cost is $2500-$5,000 with ongoing medication and special food diet. So his recommendation is to euthanize
