Help Save Snow: Emergency Vet Care for Our Puppy

Donation protected
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help to save my puppy, Snow. He is currently battling with a serious illness. When we got Snow from a breeder just two days ago, we had no idea he was sick. After only a short time, he lost interest in playing and eating, and every time he tried to eat, he would throw up. We have contacted the seller, who told us that Snow had been throwing up before and that they had been giving him over-the-counter medicine. The breeder, who is Amish, did things the old-fashioned way—Snow had never had puppy food, only human food. We never imagined he could be this sick, or we would never have brought him home. Snow has 3 sisters who are also at risk. We have took the time to call the seller to let him know that the other puppies are at risk and should be checked also. The vet had gave us to choices. One was to return Snow to the seller or keep him and start treatment. As everyone knows its a hard choice to make when you love your animal so much. We knew if we took him back Snow would die. The seller didnt give these puppies the proper care. In our hearts we knew we made the right choice to try and save snows life. We are hoping the breeder will be kind to give us the money back for what we had paid for Snow. We have put every dime we had including our savings to help try to save our little boy. He is just so sweet and deserves a chance at life.

Snow urgently needs a lot of treatments and vet visits to have a chance to survive. He needs IV fluids for the next three days, antibiotics, probiotics to help heal his gut, and special food that we had to get through the vet. We have to take him back to the vet for blood work to see if he needs more medication. Unfortunately, due to limited funds, we have to treat Snow at home and give him the IV fluids ourselves, which is very hard. He also received injections to help with vomiting and a shot of B12. This has been incredibly difficult for our family, as we are a low-income household. We have always managed our budget carefully, making sure our bills are paid and anything extra goes to our kids or pets. Our children are devastated, and we had to explain to them that Snow may not be with us long, but we are doing everything possible to keep him alive.

Our family is struggling with the costs to save not only our best friend but a member of our family. It’s never easy being told there’s a chance he might not make it, but we’re hoping with kindness and support, we can give Snow the life he deserves. He has been such a strong boy through all of this, which gives us hope that he will make it through this rough challenge. If you can help with any amount, it would mean the world to us. If you cannot donate, sharing this post helps more than you know. Please feel free to reach out for updates on Snow or to learn more about his story. Please help us get the word out so we can save Snow and give him a happy life. To make everyone aware All funds will go towards Snow and all his vet visits and treatments he has to have. We Thank you for your kindness and generosity you have given our family and Snow on his journey to recovery.
