Help Save Smudge's Life: Our Fight Against FIP

My name is Smudge, and I am a six-year-old cat who means absolutely everything to my family.

Smudge is not just a pet—she is my best friend, my constant companion, and a huge part of my heart. She has been by my side through life's ups and downs, offering comfort, love, and companionship every single day. Seeing her sick and struggling is absolutely heartbreaking.

Recently, Smudge was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis), a devastating and once-fatal disease that requires immediate treatment. Since her diagnosis, she has been getting weaker by the day. While she still shows flashes of the sweet, loving cat we know and adore, she is fighting an incredibly difficult battle.

In just the past week, we have already spent over $1,200 on veterinary care trying to get answers and help her feel better. We have also spent $308 on her first doses of medication, and the total cost of the life-saving treatment she needs is approximately $1,800. On top of that, ongoing veterinary visits average around $500 per visit as we monitor her condition and provide supportive care.

We are doing everything we possibly can to give Smudge a chance to recover, but the costs are quickly becoming overwhelming. Anyone who has ever loved a pet knows they are family, and right now we are desperately trying to save a beloved member of ours.
