Help Save Small
Hi friends... My name is Natalie and I am raising funds to help save my cat Small. On Saturday night (8/14/21), Small was attacked by a dog and sustained severe, traumatic injuries to her lower jaw and left eye. She has been in the care of the local emergency veterinary hospital since that night, and will remain until Wednesday morning when we can get her in to see a veterinary dental specialist. Small will need multiple surgeries to remove her eye and to [hopefully] repair her jaw; her road to recovery will be long.
I adopted Small in September of 2011, shortly after she and the rest of her litter had been rescued from the streets of North Philly. Small has always been kind of a quirky cat, but she didn't really come into her own until a few years ago after I lost my other cat Tara to cancer. Over time, Small transformed from quiet and skittish to loud, social, demanding, and insistently affectionate... all in the best ways, of course. Somehow, the cat that was afraid of everything (including wet food), the cat that refused be held, suddenly became a fearless, staunch companion and I've never loved her more.
Please help me save Small.
