My name is Sky Phoenix Breton, and I am the founder of A WOLF Adventure Outreach and Retreat, now registered in Canada as the not-for-profit organization Living Sky Wolf Outreach and Preserve.

My Wolves Lives Are Now At Risk This Is An Urgent Situation .

This sanctuary has been my life’s work—a sacred place where wolves, wolfdogs, and people in pain find solace, healing, and connection. Today, I reach out with an urgent plea to save this sanctuary and the lives it protects.

From childhood, I dreamed of working with troubled youth, caring for wildlife, and expressing myself through art. Over the years, these passions came together in a mission to create a refuge where at-risk youth could heal through meaningful encounters with wolves and the natural world.

Through dedication and deep personal sacrifice, I brought this vision to life. We’ve offered transformative programs like wolf yoga, hosted blessings from Buddhist monks, and created a space where children who rarely smile could laugh freely. Guardians and teachers have shared how much impact a single visit has made. I’ve seen firsthand how inspired people go on to inspire others.

But behind the scenes, my journey has been marked by profound hardship and betrayal.

Years ago, I was misled into signing over my property after a serious head on car accident and a 3 day coma where I was given a TBI (traumatic brain injury) —this sanctuary I built from the ground up—to my ex-husband under false pretenses. I believed I was protecting our animals. Instead, he used that moment of vulnerability to take everything we had built together, leaving me with nothing but the wolves to care for, and no legal recourse after promising to sign the home back over to me when everything settled , I was then served with divorce papers at work.

Through serious illness, a serious car accident, and a later extreme abuse, I continued to care for the animals without fail. Even when I had no one else, I kept the sanctuary alive. The wolves have saved my life more times than I can count—and I’ve made it my mission to ensure they are safe and cherished, no matter the cost.

Now, that sanctuary is at risk.

My ex partner has given me until the end of June to repurchase the land for $107,000 usd or $147,000 CAD or be evicted. If that happens, the wolves—will be seized and, in some cases, likely euthanized. They can not be moved safely. Some, like my elder wolf who fears all humans but me, would not survive the trauma of forced removal.

This place is not just my home—it’s the only home they have ever known.

I’ve exhausted every avenue over the past months: applying for loans, offering payment plans, filing nonprofit paperwork, reaching out to potential donors and friends. I’ve received no help. I’ve begged my ex-husband to let me buy it back in payments. He refuses.

I am now reaching out with everything I have left—hoping for a miracle.
