Simon is a five year-old Basenji, who has been my world and my best friend ever since I’ve gotten him. He is my world & best friend. 
Recently, we found a lump underneath the skin under his leg so we had him looked at by the vet. Simon was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor. The news has been devastating, and the thought of losing him breaks my heart. It causes him a lot of pain & stress & It’s horrible to watch him hurt so much. He is still so young and has brought so much joy and strength to my life. The vet says he needs surgery to have a chance at recovery, and possibly radiation or chemotherapy if the surgery isn’t enough. As much as I want to give Simon every chance to live a long, happy life, I simply cannot afford the vet bills on my own. Being on disability means my resources are very limited, and I am reaching out for help because I am not ready to let him go.

The money raised will go directly toward Simon’s surgery and any additional treatments he may need. I am hoping and praying for a successful outcome so we can continue our journey together.
