Help Save Sia’s Life with Urgent Surgery

Hello, my name is Nina. I'm a mother of 2 gorgeous young ladies and 1 four-legged baby girl. I'm creating this fundraiser to save my baby girl's life. On April 29th of 2019, God sent me a beautiful gift. Her name is Sia, she is a Chiweenie, with a personality so much bigger than her tiny body, but she is such a sweet dog. Since she came into our lives, all she has given us is pure love and joy. Sia is a very special dog. She's sweet, extremely smart, and very sassy. Her personality is one of a Diva, a leader, and a nurturer. Ever since she came into my life, I have felt so loved by her. She has helped me through very difficult times of deep depression. Times when I thought I wasn't going to get through it all, she always gave me such unconditional love, she was always by my side. For this and for many other things, I need to do whatever it takes to save her life. Two years ago, she started having some issues with her left eye. A lot of irritation, redness, and some swelling. I took her to her Vet to gether checked out. He said she had an eye infection and prescribed some antibiotics and eye drops. She got slightly better, but then a couple os months later her eye got worse. We took her once more to the vet, and he said she had a recurrent eye infection. Mind you, no other tests were conducted to determine if that was the cause or not. She finished the second course of antibiotics, and this time, he also prescribed an ointment for her eye. This worked for a few weeks only. Then, one day, she couldn't even open her eye, and she didn't want anybody touching her head, which told me she was in a great deal of pain. At this point, I'm desperate to know the real reason her eye is this bad. For a third time, I took her back to that Vet, and he then said he did't know the cause of why her eye was this way. I was extremely upset and disappointed in this doctor. My baby was in so much pain, and seeing her like that killed me. Finally, I found a specialist for her. Her name is Dr. Karpinski, and she specializes in eye diseases in dogs and cats. The day I took her for the first time, Dr. Karpinski performed a series of test infront of me, she took her time with Sia, and that made me feel at ease. Once she finished with the various tests, she proceeded to explain what was really going on with Sia. She asked if I had taken her anywhere else for this, and I said yes three times. Dr.Karpinski diagnosed her with Glaucoma in an advanced stage. She explained to me that if her condition had been treated since the first episode, her Glaucoma would have been stalled for many years. At this point, all we can do is try to keep her eye pressure controlled to prevent Enucleation which is the removal of her eye. Her right eye also has a little Glaucoma but it's controlled with the pressure drops. We have been treating her with the drops for a few months now, but unfortunately, her left eye has blown up inside. There is no saving it any longer. She needs surgery as soon as possible before she gets an infection in her brain, which could be deadly. I'm devastated because I don't have the financial means to cover this surgery. Please help me save her! She's my baby girl, and I adore her. I will posting the estimate of the surgery, and all I ask for is what ever you can help with. Please Please Please help!
