Hi, my name is Hassan and I'm fundraising on behalf of my dear friend's family, whose 10-year-old daughter Shanzeh has been diagnosed with relapsed leukemia.
Shanzeh is currently receiving treatment at King Fahad Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Her doctors have confirmed that a bone marrow transplant is now the only curative, life-saving option for her condition.
The transplant must take place by the end of May 2026, so time is very short and we urgently need support to arrange the funding in the next few weeks
While the family's medical insurance covered her initial chemotherapy, it has refused to cover the bone marrow transplant — leaving them to find this funding on their own, in the middle of an already devastating time.
The family is arranging the transplant at the Armed Forces Bone Marrow Transplant Centre (AFBMTC) in Rawalpindi, Pakistan — one of South Asia's leading specialist centres for this procedure. The total expected cost, including the transplant itself, hospital stay, donor matching, post-transplant immunosuppression, and management of possible complications, is approximately PKR 8–10 million (roughly AUD 45,000–55,000).
This amount is far beyond what the family can manage on their own, and time is critical — the transplant needs to happen as soon as possible to give Shanzeh the best chance.
How your donation will be used:
* Bone marrow transplant procedure at AFBMTC
* Hospital stay and intensive care during recovery
* Donor matching and pre-transplant workup
* Post-transplant medication and complication management
Why I'm running this campaign: I'm a close family friend based in Melbourne, Australia. All funds raised will be transferred directly to the family for Shanzeh's treatment.
If you're able to give, even a small amount brings Shanzeh closer to the treatment she needs. If you can't donate, please share this campaign with anyone who might — your share is just as valuable as a donation.
Thank you, from Shanzeh's family and from me, for your kindness, generosity, and prayers.
