Seraphim is my 3-year-old Siberian Husky and she’s the sweetest, goofiest girl you’ll ever meet. For the last month, she’s been in constant pain from a rare eye condition called ectopic cilia — basically a hair growing through her eyelid that’s scratching her cornea every time she blinks. It’s caused a painful, non-healing ulcer on her right eye. She squints, paws at her face, and has runny discharge daily. Without surgery, it will only get worse and could cause her to lose her eye.
On 4/21/26, we saw a board-certified veterinary ophthalmologist. Seraphim needs surgical removal of the ectopic cilia and corneal treatment for the ulcer. This is the only way to stop the pain and save her vision. The estimate from Animal Eye Consultants of Iowa covers the surgery and day-of medications, but not pre-op bloodwork or recheck appointments. As much as I wish I could cover this alone, it’s more than I can handle right now. I’m asking for help so Seraphim doesn’t have to live in pain or risk losing her eye.
The funds raised will go directly toward Seraphim’s surgery, medications, and any extra will help with pre-op bloodwork, recheck exams, and medications. I have the full ophthalmology report and estimate and I’m happy to share updates, receipts, and post-surgery photos with everyone who donates. Every bit of support helps us get closer. If you can’t donate, sharing this means the world. Thank you for helping me save my girl’s eye. — Terese & Seraphim
