Scout has been a beloved part of Cat Haven Rescue since he was just six weeks old. Although Scout has striking black fur and a personality full of attitude, his shyness made it hard for him to find a forever home. As he grew older, Scout became a long-term resident at the rescue.

Recently, Scout began to look unwell, and I knew something was wrong. I rushed him to the emergency vet, where we discovered he was suffering from a blocked bladder and couldn't urinate. The procedure to unblock him was costly, but necessary to save his life. After the emergency visit, Scout was diagnosed with the beginnings of acute kidney failure and a gallbladder infection. He now needs to stay at the vet for several more days to receive the care he desperately needs.

The costs for Scout's treatment are overwhelming for our rescue, but we are determined to give him every chance to recover.
