Scooter is my one and a half year old cat, and he’s truly the heart of our home. He’s a playful, chirpy, fluffy boy who loves springing into the air for his fish on a stick and chasing feet under the blanket. When he’s not playing, he sits in the window, watching birds and leaves fall, always curious and full of life. His joyful energy brings so much happiness to our family every single day.

Last night, I noticed Scooter was spending a lot of time in the litter box but wasn’t able to go. Worried, I rushed him to the 24-hour vet at 11pm, where he was given medication for a partial blockage. This morning, we learned he needs a catheter flush and two days of monitoring to save his life. The cost of this urgent care is more than we can afford, and we’re heartbroken knowing how serious this is for male cats.

Scooter means everything to me—he follows me everywhere and lifts my spirits on tough days. He’s not just my pet; he’s my baby boy.
