My heart is breaking as I write this — my sweet boy Sammy has been diagnosed with a lemon size tumor on his lung, and surgery is the only chance to save his life. His procedure is scheduled for October 28th, and the estimate is between $10,000–$14,000, with nearly $3,700 just for the CT scan and aspirate alone.

Sammy came into my life a year and a half ago as a foster and instantly we were bonded. I knew he's never had anyone to take care of him before me. He’s the kind of dog who wags his tail even when he doesn’t feel well — gentle, loyal, and full of love. Since the day I adopted him, we’ve faced one medical challenge after another: an emergency eye ulcer that needed immediate treatment, then surgery to remove a mass on his paw. Through it all, Sammy has fought with so much courage and heart.

But now, this tumor is the biggest battle yet — and I can’t face it without help.

I was recently unemployed for four months after a company-wide layoff, and while I’ve just started a new job, my savings have been completely depleted from covering Sammy’s previous medical needs and everyday expenses.

I’m doing everything I can to cover his care, but this surgery is far beyond what I can manage alone. The funds raised will go directly toward Sammy’s CT scan, diagnostics, surgery, hospitalization, and recovery care. Every dollar — and every share — truly makes a difference.

Sammy means the world to me. He’s my family, my comfort, and my constant reminder of resilience. I just want to give him the chance to live the full, happy life he deserves.
