Hello kind hearts,

My name is Charles, and today I'm reaching out with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit for my beloved fur baby girl, Sammy.

A few days ago, Sammy jumped out of my car and she was in a devastating accident that has turned our lives upside down. Myself not knowing she had been in this tragic situation. I continued to drive looking for Sammy for 11hrs over a 2 mile radius from ground zero. In total I drove 97 miles. The next morning I received a message thru a group stating they had Sammy at the OC Animal Care facility in Tustin and that she was injured. When I finally got to see Sammy. The vet gave me the bad news.

The car that hit her left her with a severed urethra (her pee wasn't leaving her body completely she is retaining fluids which is making her cry and howl in horrible pain when she tries to pee) and multiple fractures that detached her pelvis and fractured her tail (she can't stand, walk or shake her tail) these painful injuries requires immediate surgeries for her to survive and thrive. After a couple months of recooperating the vet feels she will make a full recovery and be able to walk, run, wiggle her little butt with joy and jump on me once again.

Sammy is more than a pet to me, she's my cherished fur baby who has brought me unconditional love and joy to my life. Seeing her in such excruciating pain is heart-wrenching. The only glimmer of hope is 2 operations and 5 - 6 days stay in the hospital with around the clock care to carefully reconnect her urethra, put the pieces of her shattered pelvis and tail back together. However, the cost of Sammy's surgical needs are beyond my financial capability.

The surgery, along with the post-operative care, is estimated at $9000.00, despite my best efforts, I cannot afford this on my own. I am in a race against time, and without these surgeries, Sammy's chances are slim. This is why I am swallowing my pride and turning to this incredible community for help.

I have always believed in the power of collective kindness, and today, I'm hoping that your kindness can extend to my fur baby Sammy.
