Hi, my name is Ben, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my family to ask for help for someone very special to us — our dog, Sadie.

This past Saturday, our world was turned upside down. While at the dog park with the kids, Sadie was unexpectedly struck by a moving vehicle in a terrible, freak accident. We still don’t know exactly how it happened — it all unfolded so fast. But the damage was immediate and devastating.

Sadie suffered a collapsed lung and severe injuries to her hind leg. She’s been in the emergency animal hospital since then, hooked up to oxygen, on pain medications, and being closely monitored. Her leg is bandaged, she’s sedated for comfort, and she’s fighting hard to recover.

But Sadie isn’t just our pet — she’s family.

She’s the kids’ babysitter, guardian, and protector. She has always been by their side, keeping watch, comforting them, and making sure they feel safe. She’s grown up with them. She’s their shadow, their best friend, and their quiet hero.

Watching her in pain has been heartbreaking. We’re doing everything we can to save her, but the veterinary bills are piling up fast — and we’re facing a long road ahead for her recovery, including possible surgery, continued oxygen support, rehab, and more.
