Hi Everyone,
My name is Valerie Chavis, dog mom to the most precious girl named Sadie.
On Tuesday, April 21st at 4:56 pm, Sadie was run over by an Amazon driver in her own yard. Immediately upon impact, Sadie was showing significant neurological symptoms.
We rushed Sadie to the vet where they determined she had obvious brain trauma and swelling. X-rays revealed a C1 and C2 fracture.
We have been medically managing Sadie's pain and symptoms, but she urgently needs to be evaluated at The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine by their neurologist and spinal surgeon.
Sadie most likely needs surgery to stabilize her spinal injury; however, this evaluation and possibly surgery will be very expensive.
This is where you can help us....
We are trying to raise enough money for Sadie to at least be evaluated so we can create a plan of treatment. Surgery is most likely going to be needed but we will not know the exact cost of this surgery until after she is evaluated. Please help us raise the money to get Sadie seen at NC State so that she can get the help she needs before it is too late.
Corinne Coats with Project Jade Animal Rescue has reached out and wants to help fundraise this money to save Sadie. (This is the rescue we fostered and adopted Sadie from in 2019!)
All donations made will go directly to Project Jade and will be used to pay for Sadie's care at The NC State College of Veterinary Medicine.
If you can help, we appreciate it more than you will ever know.
Sadie is fighting hard for her life, let's fight hard for her too!
