Hello,

My name is Samantha and my youngest daughter, Rylie, has an orange cat named Peanut. Rylie is 11 years old and Peanut is her world. We adopted him as a kitten from the humane society after adopting his brother, Gizmo. We brought Gizmo home and he was immediately lonely without his brother. It didn’t take long for Rylie to convince me to adopt his brother, they needed each other and Rylie really liked that little orange kitten. Two days later, we went back to get him and the humane society told us that Peanut had been so sad without Gizmo that he hadn’t eaten since he left. We took Peanut home, the brothers were reunited, and everything was bliss. Peanut was drawn to Rylie from the start. He knew she needed him. She struggles with anxiety and an eating disorder and this ginger cat does whatever he can to keep her calm. He always knows when she needs him the most and is her protector.

Sadly, Peanut was rushed to the pet ER, as he was shaking and meowing in pain. We learned that has a urinary blockage and his bladder was the size of a large grapefruit. His hospital stay will be 3 days minimum if everything goes smoothly, which we are praying for.

I had a baby 4 months ago and just recently returned to work. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to cover the costs of saving my daughter’s support kitty, on my own. I have the hardest time asking for help, but I need it. Anything helps. Thank you!!!
