Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
We are reaching out with a heartfelt plea to help Ruplal Tamang, a 33-year-old husband, father, and devoted son from Dolakha, Nepal, who is in urgent need of a kidney transplant to survive. His life has taken a heartbreaking turn, and due to financial hardship, our family is unable to afford the treatment he so desperately needs.
Ruplal's Story:
Ruplal was diagnosed with end-stage kidney failure in early 2025. After months of fatigue, severe swelling, and difficulty breathing, doctors confirmed that both of his kidneys had failed. Since then, he has been surviving on dialysis three times a week – a painful and temporary solution that is no longer sustainable.
A kidney transplant is his only hope of survival. Thankfully, his mother has selflessly offered to donate one of her kidneys – a miracle amidst the darkness. But the surgery, post-operative care, and medications come at a cost far beyond what his family can afford.
The Financial Burden:
In Nepal, while the cost of surgery may be lower than in other countries, it still amounts to around €10,000 euro, including:
- Pre-transplant testing
- Surgery costs for both Ruplal and the donor
- Post-surgery hospitalization
- Lifelong immunosuppressant medication
- Travel and accommodation for the family to the transplant centre in Kathmandu
Our family has already borrowed from relatives just to cover ongoing dialysis and other medical expenses. We are now out of options – and out of time.
How You Can Help:
We are turning to you, to our global community, to help save Ruplal’s life. Your contribution, no matter how small, will go directly toward his medical expenses. Every euro raised will be a step toward giving Rupl a second chance at life – a chance to watch his 5-year-old son and 3-month-old son grow up, to support his ageing parents, and to return to the simple joys of life he once knew.
Please consider donating and sharing this fundraiser with your network. Your support means more than words can express.
Donate. Share. Pray. Help us bring Ruplal back to life.
With deep gratitude,
Kushal Tamang/ brother of Ruplal Tamang
