Rupert is only 1 years old. Our Australian Labradoodle and our best friend. Sadly, he is critically ill.

His white blood cell count is dangerously low, his temperature is extremely high and we still don’t have any answers.

Since Saturday, he’s undergone extensive testing, including blood tests, urine tests and an ultrasound. He’s been on an IV drip the entire time as he is not eating as well as antibiotics and anti sickness to try and keep him settled. Despite this, he isn’t improving.

We are now running out of time.

Rupert urgently needs specialist care, but the costs are extremely high and quickly becoming more than we can manage alone. He is booked in for a CT scan at a specialist vets in Cambridge where we should be able to find some answers and therefore how to treat him to get him better.

This all happened so fast. One minute he was his happy, energetic self, and now we’re fighting to keep him here.

Rupert is everything to us. Our comfort, our routine, our little shadow. We are not ready to lose him like this.
