HELP SAVE ROSCE

Hi my name is Ena Robinson and a lot of you know about my poor Superman dog. Roscoe is my almost 2 year old dog who decided to hop up 4 1/2 feet and jump over the ledge 5 stories up on a parking garage. Luckily but not luckily there was a car parked underneath and Roscoe managed to land on top of the windshield potentially saving his life! We moved to California from Iowa about 4/5 months ago and it’s so expensive here to continue care for Roscoe so we will be moving back...with everything happening we have no choice. The first place we took him wouldn’t even touch him to save his life without one thousand immediately and we were in a rush without any of our things. Roscoe was bleeding out and in very bad shape and we were crying our little hearts out. We eventually left the first hospital which was VCA ORANGE COUNTY VETERINARY SPECIALIST. They charged us 3k a night and we thought we didn’t have any choice. They told us he needed surgery and it was very urgent once he was strong enough. I was going to take him elsewhere but they said he could get the surgery immediately when he was ready and assured us they were the best in the city we were in. The next day he was doing extremely well and they told us he was no longer considered a priority since it was an emergency walk in hospital. Suggested we keep him there 2 more nights (3k a night) and THEN they could give him surgery. At that point I was very very upset because I would’ve taken him somewhere else the day before and put that 3 thousand towards another vet. So obviously we transferred him immediately. Their attitudes then became very aggressive towards us and they made us wait over an HOUR to bring him out when we showed up. He stayed there 3 days and was still in terrible shape even though he was doing better and when they brought him out the lady grabbed him right where his wounds were and THREW him in the car. I spoke with the manager about compensation and a follow up with her employee about the situation that was 1000% out of line and she said she would see what she could do and apologized but yet never called back at all. Their cooperate will be hearing from me soon. We spent 8 thousand dollars there nearly 9 thousand and I have pictures of the bills if anyone wants to see for proof. We also found out none of the money we spent to keep him hospitalized there would go towards the surgery, so we would’ve had to pay an additional cost to care for him which would’ve been completely insane. We transferred him to a second emergency vet and it was much cheaper and they were amazing to us, and also used all of the money we spent during hospitalization to go towards the very small repair surgery he got. They told us putting him under was not recommended at all and that he was healing extremely fast and that they just wanted to keep him there monitored for 5 days under their care. The 5 days passed and they told us he would need a small surgery to repair his staples because his wound on his abdomen was starting to split and not heal properly. With the surgery and 5 days of care we ended up spending about 5 thousand give or take. After many X-rays we discovered the small punctured lung was completely healed and his catheter was taken out because no fluids were found in his bladder!! Everything that was major early on is now minor and if not healed almost there! He will be needing many follow ups and to continue care in California would be way too expensive for our family. We have used credit care and some of our amazing friends have loaned us some money for him. We’re are tied up with bills and asking all donations to go towards paying off his vet bills and no longer going towards his surgery because it was no longer needed :) if you have any questions just ask me! Thank you so much for all the money we have already raised it means the world to us. Thank you Jesus for keeping us dog mamas we love you Roscoe!
