Ron Osborn has been a beloved coach, mentor, and friend in the Davis County softball community for years. If you’ve ever had a child who played softball here, chances are Ron has helped them in some way – whether it was coaching them in his batting cage, cheering them on at games, or offering words of encouragement that stuck with them long after they left the field.
Now, Ron needs our help.
Ron was the victim of a devastating financial scam, losing several hundred thousand dollars to a convicted fraudster. Always generous and trusting, he took out a second mortgage to help someone he thought was in need, only to be taken advantage of. The scammer has since been prosecuted (State v. Nathan Herr) and is facing sentencing, but Ron is left picking up the pieces.
With his home in foreclosure, Ron stands to lose not only the place he’s lived in for years but also his batting cage—a place where so many young athletes have trained, learned, and grown.
How We Can Help
We’re raising funds to help Ron so he can continue living in his home and doing what he loves.
Ron would never ask for this help himself, but we know that so many people in this community will want to help out and contribute to help save his home, especially since he has dedicated so much of his time and heart to our young athletes.
Any amount you can contribute will go directly toward helping Ron keep his home and batting cage. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser will make a huge difference. You can also Venmo @Ron-Osborn directly!
