Please help save Rogues Life
On August 13th, 2021 Rogue started urinating blood, I rushed her to the emergency vet and she was diagnosed with IMTP - Immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, which comes about for no rhyme or reason.
Just weeks ago she was frolicking at the beach and dunking for rocks (her favourite). She loves camping, exploring, wrestling with her brother, chasing squirrels, and watching animal planet. Rogue has been with me for eight years and she is without a doubt my best friend and confidant, I simply cannot afford these vet costs alone, but I refuse to give up without a fight; she deserves to live and has many awesome hikes to go on in her future. Please help save Rogue
Right now is critical, Rogues platelet level is zero and she is fighting for her life in the animal hospital.
Rogue has been by my side through thick and thin and now it’s my turn to be there for her. She is the toughest dog I know, a fighter, and I’m confident she can battle through this and live a long happy life with proper treatment.
Unfortunately I do not have pet insurance for her and the costs have quickly added up to get her admitted to the care she needs.We revisited the hospital on the 14th and her platelet level was zero, we returned on the 15th (today) and she has been admitted overnight; she is still vomiting blood but they are doing their best to keep her still and get her platelet levels to rise, sometimes this can take 72 hours.
I know she can make a recovery but I do not have the funds to save my dog alone, any donation of any amount is greatly appreciated beyond words, as this dog is my whole world. I refuse to give up on her. We have been referred to the Victoria specialist clinic and intend to come up with a long term plan, which could involve surgery. I realize the costs are so high but any little bit is so helpful, I truly appreciate every single donation and I know Rogue does too.
