Hi, my name is Justin Storm and my wife is Michelle Huser, and I’m asking for help for a very special member of our family—our dog, Ripley.

Ripley is a 9-year-old Blue Heeler who has been diagnosed with pyometra, a severe and life-threatening infection of the uterus. Her uterus is infected and swollen, and without emergency surgery, this condition can quickly become fatal. The surgery is urgent and cannot wait.

The total cost for the surgery, diagnostics, medications, and related veterinary visits is estimated to be between $3,200 and $4,000. While we are doing everything we can, this unexpected expense is overwhelming for our family.

Ripley has been with us since the very beginning of our marriage—she was actually my wife’s wedding present nearly 9 years ago. She’s grown alongside our family and helped raise our son, who was 5 years old when she came into our lives and is now 13. She has been his protector, his comfort, and his constant companion.

Ripley isn’t “just a dog.” She is family. Our home and our hearts would be completely broken without her.
