My name is Jami, and my dog's name is Rex. He is part of our family and is more like my child than a pet. We took Rex to the vet because he has been very sick. He's lost 16 pounds, he's extremely lethargic, and is having horrible stomach issues. We had to take him to multiple vets to finally get some answers. After some x-rays, they found that Rex has something in his stomach, but they do not know what it is. They have put him on a special diet, but he has not gotten any better and is going to need exploratory surgery to remove whatever is stuck. I am not sure yet how much it's going to cost, but I will have those answers tomorrow when I call them. They are closed on Mondays, but the diet isn't working to get whatever is stuck out. Rex is losing weight by the day. He won't even eat today. The past two vet bills have cost us over $700. I am asking for help for his next vet visit, and for his surgery. We know this surgery is most likely going to cost thousands that we don't have. I know that most people are struggling right now, so even if you can't donate, would you please share this so it gets to the right people. My dog is my whole life and I don't know what I would do without him. Please help save my boy
