Rex’s story is one of hope, love, and second chances. Just weeks ago, this sweet 5-year-old cat was on the euthanasia list at a crowded shelter — out of time, out of options. We came across his story on Reddit and knew we had to help. We stepped in right before the deadline and brought him home to safety.
Upon rescuing him, we learned that Rex was quietly struggling with serious urinary issues which is a painful and potentially deadly condition common in male cats. Despite multiple vet visits and treatment with medication, Rex became fully blocked last night. He was in visible pain and unable to urinate which is a life-threatening emergency.
Rex is now hospitalized and has a catheter in place to relieve the pressure on his bladder. He’s scheduled for surgery tomorrow to remove the stones causing the blockage. This surgery is urgent and necessary to save his life.
Rex has already overcome so much, and he deserves a long, healthy future. But because his condition is considered pre-existing, pet insurance won’t cover the cost of his care and the bills are already mounting.
We’re asking for your help to get Rex through this. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his emergency treatment, surgery, and recovery. If you’re unable to donate, sharing his story means the world to us.
Thank you for giving Rex the chance to keep fighting.
