My name is Damon. I am starting this GoFundme campaign to raise funds that will allow me to restore, digitally format and share this body of work created by Jacqulin Parsons with the public.
These beautiful original pieces were painted during the last three months of her life.
Jacqulin Parsons, who was Apache and French, was a longtime resident and artist of San Francisco. Her lifelong love and passion were oil painting and color studies. She was classically trained as an oil painter and well known in her own right.
Later in her life, she shifted her study to color and the healing effects of colors on the well-being of the mind, emotions and body. She spent many years applying her work to art therapy.

In October 1998, she suffered the beginning of a series of mini-strokes that left her physically and visually disabled. This unexpected event brought her vision down to one square inch. Despite this, she never gave up. She worked till the very end. For the next three months, she produced this body of work. She began painting in 'dots.' I was with her constantly during this period. She passed away in March of 1999. At the memorial, I gave her oil works to a close circle of her friends. I kept her 'dot' work for my memory of her.
I have decided to make her work available to the public. . The work needs to be restored, digitally scanned and formatted. The cleaning and restoration will be done by Fine Art Conservation & restoration of San Francisco. S.F. Photoworks will do the digital formating. In all, there are 58 pieces of art. The repair and digital work estimates are approximately 10,150.00 $ @ 175.00 per piece.
I have created a website showing examples of 45 pieces of her work. https://apachedesertart.com
Please visit the gallery to view some of her work that I plan to make available to all interested.
As I believe my mother's goal, my goal is to bring this work to the public. I wish to make her art available in a large format to States, counties, public schools, college campuses, Universities, public parks, libraries, medical facilities and cultural centers.
All donations will be greatly appreciated. No contribution is too small. Any individuals who can donate 400.00 or more will receive a 18"x24"' signed numbered print of their choice.
Thank you for taking the time to review this request for help. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me with GoFundme. or [email redacted]
Bless all, and may the higher powers watch over us.
Her son,
Her son,
Damon
