If you know me, you know I’m terrible at asking for help, but it seems I don’t have a choice right now.
My dog, Remy, has been hospitalized with an intestinal blockage. He’s been on IV fluids for over 24 hours and is stable, but the object hasn’t budged. The vets are recommending surgery as soon as possible to remove it before it becomes life-threatening.
I’ve already spent well over $6000 on over night emergency care and diagnostics, and at this point am tapped out financially. The surgery is estimated between $3000–$6,000 at RAPS in Richmond (a non profit hospital), and without it it’s likely he won’t recover.
Remy is my whole world. He’s my companion, my calm, and the heartbeat in my home. If you’ve met him, you know he’s the happiest, sweetest Golden Retriever who loves everyone he meets.
Any amount, no matter how small, will go directly toward covering the surgery and his continued care. Even sharing this helps more than you know.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and/or donating. I’m so grateful for community in times like this and for everyone who loves Remy as much as I do.
